Web design and development in Charlotte, NC

Web experiences with real presence.

The short version

A website earns attention in the first second and loses it just as fast. We build sites that load quickly, read clearly, survive a phone on a bad connection, and give the visitor an obvious next step, then keep them maintainable enough that the second year does not undo the first.

How we approach it

Fast to load, obvious where to go next.

Speed and accessibility are structural

Both are decisions made early or paid for later. Performance and accessibility are designed in from the first build rather than audited at the end, because retrofitting either one means rebuilding the parts that were most expensive to get right.

Designed around the next step

Every page exists to move someone forward: to a form, a call, a purchase. Layout, copy, and pacing get built around that decision rather than around decoration, so the site converts attention instead of just holding it.

Built to be handed back

Sites decay when only one person can change them. We build on a stack the business can keep, hand over the content it needs to edit, and support what remains rather than leaving a black box.

What this includes

Scoped to the problem, not sold as a package. Some of it, all of it, or the part that is actually in the way.

Questions

Straight answers.

Will the site be fast?

That is the intent, and it is measurable rather than a matter of opinion. Core Web Vitals (how quickly the main content appears, how stable the layout is) are what Google measures and what a visitor feels. They are treated as build requirements, not as a report run afterwards.

Can we edit the content ourselves?

Yes. The parts you should be able to change without a developer are built to be editable. Which parts those are is a decision we make with you during the build.

Do you redesign existing websites?

Yes. Redesigns and rebuilds are common work, including cases where the goal is keeping what already ranks while replacing what does not.

What does a website cost?

Every engagement is scoped around the problem rather than sold as a package, so the number depends on what the work turns out to involve. It starts with a free conversation, and you get a scope and a price before anything is committed.

Do you only work with businesses in Charlotte?

Yes. Mirastart is based in Charlotte and works with clients there in person, but the work itself is delivered remotely and the client base is not limited to North Carolina.

What does the process look like?

Find the leverage, design the system, build in the open, then launch and evolve. The work is mapped before it is recommended, arrives in focused increments you can see, and is supported after launch rather than handed over and abandoned.
